Design Manufacturing Solutions Expo Osaka
Since the bursting of Japan’s bubble economy in 1994, there has been increasing movement among trade fair organisers to stop holding exhibitions in regional cities, and a trend has spread among trade fair organisers that it is impossible to hold successful trade fairs in regional cities outside Tokyo. Against this trend, we organised the first edition in Osaka in 1998. Since then, the scale of the fair has grown every year, and by 2019 it will be the largest*2 trade fair in western Japan, with 1,367 exhibitors*1. It has proved that, even in regional cities, companies are willing to exhibit as long as they can offer commercial advantages. *1 Including concurrent exhibitions. *2 Comparison of the number of exhibitors and product exhibition area with similar trade fairs.
