Design Manufacturing Solutions Expo Tokyo
Today’s manufacturing industry is facing challenges such as shortening design and development times, reducing costs and responding to globalisation. This exhibition is Japan’s largest* trade fair, bringing together IT solutions to solve these challenges, and has been held since 1990. Serious business discussions take place at the exhibition, supporting the development of Japan’s world-class manufacturing industry. Mechanical Components & Technology Expo Tokyo
It is one of the world’s largest specialised technology fairs, bringing together companies from all over the world with distinctive technological capabilities, such as “the smallest screw in Japan and Japan’s only precision machining technology”. As many of the exhibitors are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), such as Ota Ward, the number of municipal pavilions to support SMEs has increased year by year, and in 2018, 96 municipalities from all over Japan exhibited. In the near future, it will be the first unique and interesting trade fair in Japan with exhibitors from every prefecture and municipality in the country.

Medical Device Development Expo Tokyo
With the ageing of the population in Japan and other developed countries, the medical device market is expanding rapidly and Japanese manufacturing technology is expected to be utilised in this field. Medical Device Development Expo is a specialist showcase for components and devices used in medical and healthcare equipment, as well as development and manufacturing technologies and OEM services. Every year, engineers from MRI, dialysis machine, catheter and syringe manufacturers visit the exhibition and have active business discussions with exhibitors.

Industrial AI/IoT Expo Tokyo
In recent years, an increasing number of companies in the manufacturing industry have been actively introducing AI and IoT with the aim of visualising production processes, predicting failures in manufacturing machinery and detecting more. Against this background, and in response to strong demand from many visitors, this exhibition was created within Manufacturing World in February 2019. This exhibition is now expected to develop rapidly as the perfect place for manufacturers in eastern Japan to introduce AI and IoT products and solutions.

Additive Manufacturing Expo Tokyo
In recent years, 3D modelled objects have started to be used as-is as components or sold as end products, thanks to the improved accuracy and speed of 3D printing and additive manufacturing (AM) technologies and the wider range of materials that can be used. Until now, 3D modelled objects have mainly been used for prototyping and design reviews, but their use in the manufacturing sector is certain to accelerate in the future. By organising this exhibition, AM will contribute to technological innovations related to AM and 3D printing.

Aerospace Components & Technology Expo Tokyo
In response to the enthusiastic demand for the ever-expanding Aerospace Device & Components Expo in Nagoya to be held in Tokyo as well, the exhibition was held in Tokyo for the first time in February 2019. Components, materials and materials used in aircraft and space equipment, as well as development and manufacturing technologies, are all gathered at Tokyo Big Sight. Since the first edition, 100 companies have exhibited, and active business discussions were held with aerospace manufacturers who are seriously considering the introduction of new products to solve their problems. Together with the aerospace industry, which could become the mainstay of the next generation, the exhibition aims to develop further in the future.

Factory Facilities & Equipment Expo Tokyo
In our manufacturing powerhouse, Japan, the demand for the latest equipment and fittings in factories is increasing year by year. In this context, in response to calls for the exhibition to be held not only in Osaka and Nagoya, but also in Tokyo, it has been decided that this exhibition will be held within Manufacturing World in February 2019. With the addition of this exhibition, Manufacturing World will attract more visitors from factory management, manufacturing and production engineering departments working on the factory floor. As a trade fair that literally supports all aspects of manufacturing, it is certain to further expand in size in the future.

Measure/Test/Sensor Expo Tokyo
It is a specialised exhibition where measurement, inspection and sensor products are exhibited in one place. In response to a number of requests from industry professionals for more measurement and sensor products to be gathered at Manufacturing World and for exhibitors of measurement products to play a leading role, the exhibition was held for the first time at Makuhari Messe in 2020. Users from the manufacturing, production engineering, quality, maintenance, research, design and development sectors of the manufacturing industry visit the exhibition and engage in serious business discussions with exhibitors.

The exhibition will be held at Tokyo Big Sight, as well as in Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka.

Manufacturing World Osaka is Asia’s leading manufacturing exhibition, comprising a total of nine exhibitions. Since it was first held in 1998, it has expanded in scale every year to become the largest manufacturing exhibition in western Japan. It attracts visitors from the design and development departments, manufacturing and production technology departments, IT and factory management of many manufacturing companies in the Kansai region and beyond.

Design Manufacturing Solutions Expo Osaka
Since the bursting of Japan’s bubble economy in 1994, there has been increasing movement among trade fair organisers to stop holding exhibitions in regional cities, and a trend has spread among trade fair organisers that it is impossible to hold successful trade fairs in regional cities outside Tokyo. Against this trend, we organised the first edition in Osaka in 1998. Since then, the scale of the fair has grown every year, and by 2019 it will be the largest*2 trade fair in western Japan, with 1,367 exhibitors*1. It has proved that, even in regional cities, companies are willing to exhibit as long as they can offer commercial advantages. *1 Including concurrent exhibitions. *2 Comparison of the number of exhibitors and product exhibition area with similar trade fairs.

Mechanical Components & Technology Expo Osaka
Following its success in Tokyo, the first edition was held in 1998 in Osaka, where the main manufacturing bases in western Japan are concentrated. Approximately 90% of the visitors come from the Kansai region, centred on Osaka, Kyoto and Hyogo, as well as western Japan and Kyushu, and the number of visitors reaches 40,000 (including concurrent exhibitions). A feature of this exhibition is that visitors can bring their drawings and workpieces for technical consultation with exhibitors, and it is regarded as an indispensable exhibition by many users in the manufacturing industry.

With this, Manufacturing World Osaka has become a trade fair covering all aspects of the manufacturing industry, from machine parts and IT to machinery and factory equipment, further solidifying its position as a leading trade fair for manufacturing.

Industrial AI/IoT Expo Osaka
In response to strong requests from numerous visitors from western Japan to hold a trade fair specialising in AI and IoT for the manufacturing industry, Industrial AI⁄IoT Expo Osaka was held for the first time in Osaka in October 2018. This exhibition was a great success, with the venue filled with many visitors from the very first time. In the future, the exhibition is expected to develop rapidly as a great place for manufacturers in western Japan to introduce AI and IoT products and solutions.

Additive Manufacturing Expo Osaka
This exhibition is a specialised trade fair where all kinds of products, technologies and services related to 3D printing, including 3D printers, additive manufacturing (AM), materials and contract services, are exhibited, and was held for the first time in Osaka in 2019. The 3D printing market is certain to grow dramatically both in Japan and overseas, and it is said that 3D printing technology will change the way manufacturing has been done to date. Manufacturing World Nagoya is one of the largest manufacturing exhibitions in the Chubu region, comprising a total of seven exhibitions. It attracts visitors from the design and development departments, manufacturing and production engineering departments, IT and plant management from many manufacturing companies in the Chubu region and beyond.

Design Manufacturing Solutions Expo Nagoya
A large number of exhibitors wanted to expand their sales channels in the Chubu region, so they strongly requested that the exhibition be held not only in Tokyo and Osaka, but also in Nagoya. In response, the decision was made to hold the exhibition in Nagoya in April 2016. Immediately after the announcement, requests to exhibit poured in, and the planned venue space was hastily expanded. From the very first edition, the fair became a large-scale trade fair with 707 exhibitors (including concurrent exhibitions). By 2022, it will be Asia’s leading manufacturing trade fair, with 1,650 exhibitors.

Mechanical Components & Technology Expo Nagoya
The Chubu region, centred on Aichi Prefecture, is one of the most important manufacturing clusters in Japan. The first exhibition was held in Nagoya in April 2016 in response to requests from engineers for a full-scale trade fair specialising in manufacturing to be held in Aichi, where major manufacturers in the automotive, heavy industry and aeronautics industries are concentrated. The exhibition received enthusiastic expectations as a trade fair specialising in the Chubu region, and has become a large-scale trade fair with 35,361 visitors in its third edition. With the birth of this exhibition, it will be held three times a year, following Tokyo and Osaka, to contribute to the revitalisation of the manufacturing industry in all regions of the country.

In October 2016, RX Japan announced that it would be holding a factory equipment and fittings exhibition in Osaka, and at the same time announced that it would also be holding this exhibition in Nagoya in April 2017. Held in Aichi Prefecture, which boasts the largest number of factories in Japan, the exhibition has attracted a great deal of attention from industry professionals since its inception, attracting many visitors from factory management, manufacturing and production engineering departments in Aichi Prefecture and other parts of the Chubu region. In the near future, the number of exhibitors and visitors will rapidly increase from all over the world, making it one of Asia’s leading international trade fairs.

Aerospace Components & Technology Expo Nagoya
The aerospace industry is expected to be a major growth industry for Japan in the future. This is where the state-of-the-art manufacturing technology of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is greatly needed. In response to this trend, RX Japan organised the Aerospace Technology & Components Expo Nagoya in April 2017. Many users from the Chubu region, the heart of the aerospace industry, visited the exhibition. In the future, the number of exhibitors and visitors is expected to increase significantly, not only from Japan but also from overseas, and RX Japan is expected to grow into one of the world’s leading specialised trade fairs in five years’ time.

Additive Manufacturing Expo Nagoya
RX Japan has decided to hold Additive Manufacturing Expo in Tokyo in February 2019. Following this announcement, we received a number of requests from automotive and aircraft-related manufacturers in the Chubu region, who said it would be difficult for them to travel to Tokyo, and that they would like the exhibition to be held in Nagoya as well, and that they would like their subordinates on the manufacturing floor to visit the exhibition. We have received a number of comments such as “It is difficult for me to travel to Tokyo, so I would really like to have the exhibition in Nagoya. In response to these comments, the decision was made to hold this exhibition at Port Messe Nagoya in April 2019 at short notice.
